As we ring in the new year, Trinus wants to ensure that your systems are up-to-date and in tip-top shape. SAP’s latest BOBJ upgrade is nothing short of exciting with its new Fiori Launchpad. 

Continuing with our managed services highlights this week, today’s star player is SAP’s BOBJ, which recently rolled out an impressive new update. 

FEATURES

Next Gen Launch Pad

Withthe BI 4.3 release, the same functionalities of the Classic Launchpad are included in the newFioriBI Launchpad, but with an addition of valuable features. . The FioriBI Launchpadis able to work with the default URL context /BOE/BI. It is now also possible to customize the launch pad with any desired theme, page preference, etc. 

Simplified BI Inbox

For inboxes loaded with never–ending alerts and documents, the upgrade allows a consolidated view of your BI Inbox with a search option for specific alerts and or documents. 

Publication Included

You can start the Publication creation workflow in update BI4.3, a feature missed by content creation and scheduling teams on theFioriBI Launchpad. 

Enhanced user experience

One of the most heavily requested features is also finally introduced in the new upgrade, allowing for users to send schedules to multiple destinations.In BI 4.3, withmultiple destinations option, your systemcan now take care of sending schedules to selected destinations.

New BI Workspace

BI Workspace arranges and displays different BI platform content, such as Web Intelligence documents, Crystal Reports, Lumira Documents, Modules, Hyperlinks etc., as per preference and  necessity.

Introducing BI Admin Studio

Several of BI’s Ux improvements are extended to Admin workflows as well. BI Admin Studio, a new application with theFioriinterface, isa consolidation of theBI Administrators’ Cockpit and Visual Difference and Monitoringapplications.

  • BI 4.3 enables retry–scheduling options and schedule notifications, permitting end users to havemore control over their launchpad.
  • You can save multiple sets of Database Credentials, defining unique credentials for each user with added authentication.
  • BI Workspace allows you to view, analyze and manage complex data effectively with high visibility of your organization.
  • For BI administrators who need detailed reports, the Auditing Functionality in BI 4.3 incorporates enhancements thathelpto find the root cause of certain issues reported from their BIusers andprovide necessary authentication and session updates.
